Our AED has been ordered and will be
here soon…YIPPEE!! Once here and in place, Carol Harnack will be doing
some instructional sessions. The AED will be dedicated to the memory of
Sadie Dekan, grandmother of Andie Regg. The Dekan family gave the Health
Team it’s first ever financial gift in Sadie’s memory.
Also donated to CLC by Fannie Tietze,
is an oxygen compressor for use in an emergency or to be lent to members
until other arrangements can be made. Carol will also give instructions
in its use. If anyone has any “not used at home anymore” medical
equipment that could be shared with other CLC members, please let me
know.
We collected 22 units of blood during
our August blood drive. Our next drive will be November 18th.
Donating blood would be a terrific way to give thanks for all your
blessings.
CLC and the Health Team will be hosting
another LifeLine Screening Thursday, January 17, 2008. This independent
company offers screenings for abdominal aneurysms, carotid artery
disease, bone density and peripheral vascular disease. The screening
will be advertised and offered to the surrounding neighborhood. More
details will be available in December.
Keep those cards coming for those on
our continuing prayer list. Our next Love and Encouragement card shower
will be for Jean and Lee Luffman, parents of Allen Luffman. We will
collect cards ‘til November 15th.
